We caught 3 of these guys last weekend on a private pond. The only fish that I know for sure were stocked on this pond were bass, crappie, and brim.
I was thinking rock bass at first, but I really don't think it is. My theory is that a brim and a crappie got busy and made these little bundles of joy.

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Fishing rod in one hand - 10# LMB lipped in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

They look tasty to me! I'd say Warmouth as they look similar to the Rock Bass they have up north, but true Rock Bass are pretty rare in Texas, and Warmouth are pretty common!
