I have seen times on Fork that the shad hatches were abundant and the fishing was tough because the lake was full of so much shad. PC is full of food, I could see why some find it tough.
There was a blue kayak with a spitfire jigs emblem on the back of it two Saturdays ago, he was throwing something during the heat of the day that I would have never loaded into the boat for that day, and he was connecting with some good bass. Some big worms and his color choice during the heat of the day was not your normal every day color.

So what your saying is they need to allow us to throw castnets and kill off some of the bait fish?

Just got back from PC. I was not able to take my boat but I fished from a canoe instead. The lake was up several ft and was dropping every day. I caught a few fish up in the flooded vegetation on Thursday but the fishing was tough the remainder of the trip. I was very limited on my fishing so I'm sure my trip does not do the lake justice. It was a neat lake to camp at and next time I hope to take the boat. I did see several pieces of Hydrilla floating around so maybe it will make a comeback.

If the grass makes a comeback fishing should come back tpwd just stocked a bunch of the sharelunker fry's and owr fish as well so in about three years that lake should be doing really well...
