ditto. wondering if the surf was clear or chocolate? with recent winds, I'd think the latter.

Shut up and fish!

My guys tell me that the trout are running the second gut off packery on the North side. They are catching them on small croakers(all that's available) and mirro-lures. The North Jetty is producing Trout on an incoming tide. They are catching them right where the surf/beach meets the rocks(the corner) in the early am.

saltyangler.com it's the website for the Saltwater Angler magazine that is published and distributed everywhere.

The surf is [censored] right now. The only chance you have for decently colored water is trying to catch the incoming tide.

Buddy was down at Port A fishing the jetties, lots of sea weed was floating around had to throw lures around them. Long lines are hard to fish right now. Hooked into a couple nice sharks though and got spooled, took 300 yards of 50lb mono. Bites where on cut bait and free lined croaker

How are yall keeping croaker alive at the jetties? On a boat, or some kind of livewell system in a truck?

went to packery and the blue water is coming in and should be in by today which means good fishing.

He caught a croaker in the surf on some shrimp, wasn't going there with the intention of using them, it just happened that way. Caught him on a lil rod and walked it straight to a waiting big rod

Keep 'em in an aerated livewell in the truck, then transfer them into a minnow bucket for the walk out the jetties and then stake the bucket in the water wherever you set up to fish. Rebar works well as a stake.

According to NOAA the waves are going down and the wind as well, surf should be clearing by the weekend and fishing should be better.
