was wanting to know if cornmeal would be ok to sour i got some from where i work it was free but was also going to go buy some wheat or milo to sour. was going to try this first.

i would think it would disperse pretty quickly instead of sinking, but if its free it wont hurt to try.

Id mix it in with wheat or milo would prob carry scent further

I don't know if that would work,but can't hurt to try. You might end up with a big bucket of cornbread.

We used to have a minnow trap and put cornmeal in it and put it in the river, it sure caught the minnows,

Smell is smell but it will disperse real quick especially if theres any wind action. Grain sinks down and stays together.

here's a two for one.....take 2 lbs cornmeal and 2 lbs sugar and mix with 5 gal water and one package yeast....let it ferment for 10 days drain off water(save water) and take cornmeal fishing........take fermented water and put in still......moonshine and fried catfish later that night......LOL

Won't work unless you want 'Shine light. You want to keep the mash fermenting and bubblin' up through the distiller....uh.
