Went to tawakoni yesterday 6-13-03 got there about 1pm. Started out with slabs and rattle traps only caught 2 6" blue cats on the slabs, Gail force winds blew in and sent us cowering in a cove for about an hour then finally laid back down and we decided to try the hell pet rig i saw on thes forums. First time i ever really trolled and we ened up picking up 14 nice sand bass and a few dinks, a couple of short (15") stripers and 3 hybrids. Then we caught a 5lb striper and a 6lb striper all trolling the hell pet rig.
the action died off around 6 pm (right after we hung up and lost the last pet spoon trolling thru the shallow water)
we caught them trolling around sun point and up into oak cove most hits were in about 25 ft of water
