I am now a firm believer in the reverse combi rig.... we had 6 lines in the water 3 with reverse combi's and 3 with a more conventional hair rig. 5 out of 6 of all the buffs caught were on the reverse combi rig. If you can tie a hair rig with floro line and an albright knot you can most likely tie a reverse combi. Anyway heres the pics.

Great catches!

I would love to see a picture of a reverse combi rig or instructions.

I tend to over think fishing. Please help me.
When I am over complicating something please kick me in the face. Hard.

i found a few on google and am trying to learn how to tie it myself. One thing though they make the hair out of floro and i would prefer it to be braid. I have tied a couple but the mono i used had high memory and it looks like [censored] so i wont show you a pic of it =p

Awesome! That is one sweet swim.

You can look in the US Carp Pro Magazine for my adticle on how to tie it. In the article I call it the Harrison Buffalo Rig because it was Shaun Harrison, Quest Baits, that figured out to use it for better success.

I also had my German clients make a video of me tying the rig step by step. I have never published the video anywhere but I probably should.

It's not difficult to tie. Its like Shaun said to me "There is no such thing as a difficult knot. You just have to learn how to hold it." 10 minutes is not too much time to build a rig. If fly fishers spend 20 minutes tying a fly than session anglers shouldn't complain about spending half that time.

Excellent haul fellows!

To all the DFW anglers, I would be happy to meet somewhere one night this week and demonstrate how to tie the rig step by step. We can meet at BPS Grapevine, a good central location, sit at the bar and tie up a few. If I can get at least 3 to commit I'd be happy to do it. I'll even bring the kit and everyone can take home a rig.

Thanks Carpenter but its Shaun Harrison that gets credit for this one. He is the one that figured out that this rig works for the strange vertical mouth of the buffalo. He really took his time to show me how to build this rig correctly. I'm just passing on what I learned from a world class angler.

When I tied Bass Flies they took me an hour or so, but then I am slow.

I actually enjoy sitting in my living room, while my wife is watching TV, tying and fiddling.

Wow, what a great offer. Unfortunately weekday evenings are not usually possible for me. If you set something up I can try to come, but when ever I make plans during the week something happens..

This looks like a fun water, is this just strictly Buffalo, that's kind of new to me?
