....Just wanted to say Thank You Bamaboy - you make great post and always trying (and do) help everyone,
Thank you Bamaboy!
Your most welcome. And thank you Mr.Parker. You are always helpful with your posts including this one. I've really enjoyed this post with the information you and Dennis are kind enough to share with us. I just try to throw some useful information in every now and then with all the BS I enjoy giving my friends here on the forum. I've only been fishing for whites for a couple or three years or so and try to absorb all the info my two brain cells will handle.

Yep this post is back - how to catch em. Keep up with the Shad. Right now the Smalls (just hatched White Bass) are eating the Smalls (just hatched shad) - and you should look under those - that can be a gold mine. Today in no man's land - Not where you should expect them - the littles were showing them selves and under those Jack Pot! Tons of Hybrids and Big Ol White Bass (limtis on both plus C&R) in 40 to 50 feet of water (just see them on your graph normally about 20 feet down under the smalls learn to work your baits where they are (where you see em on your depth finders) put that bait in the strike zone put that bait in front of their nose (learn the count up from the bottom or the pull out count method from the top - or the cast out and let drop for the count/seconds that it takes to put your bait right in front of their nose with what ever bait you happen to be working). For me it's the TNT Mark Parker Special - I use it everday and know it well. Its all GOOOOD! You can always see what is being caught on my web site at www.texasguidefishing.com - we would have done Crappie also today but I wore these guys smooth out (and me too)!

I haven't read all replies, but let's emphasize that driving through schooling fish with the OUTBOARD will not result in a full stringer. I was enjoying a boil Friday morning at Lake Lewisville near the 121 Cut area when two guys in a boat kept driving up in the smack middle of a boil. Wonder what happened? Fish got pushed out away from me and these guys would start up and follow them. They wound up in an endless loop. They would drive up to the top water action, chase the fish away and drive upon them again...only to repeat this cycle. I kept hearing one say to the other "wish I had my trolling motor with me." Guess he didn't see the one mounted on the bow of their boat. Hmm. Can someone say ID10T error!

Mark, we're not seeing that pattern (small whites out in the open water after small shad) here at Cedar Creek. The ticket here is either early/late surface action or working the structures any time of day.

The ticket here is either early/late surface action or working the structures any time of day. That is Good for you - the usual spots - (structure spots) where they should be. But I'm just saying when the young hatch - they sometimes end up - in no where land - where you should not expect them (over nothing - in no where - for no reason). It changes everyday and the masses of young will grow and this will be over quickly - but just consider all the options and do not disregard those smalls on top out where you do not expect them (look under those),

I understand and thanks for the heads-up. I'm just saying there aren't any smalls chasing shad out in he open water here - at least not that I've seen, not yet. But I hope I remember your tip in case we do see that action.

Which post re Kickapoo Bridge are you referring to? I mentioned Kickapoo Bridge - on Lake Livingston. I can't find any other mention of such bridge in this chain of posts - although I could have overlooked it.

Since you addessed Mark, I assumed you were talking about Richland Chambers when you said you had "been on this lake 30 years". From your last post I know you are referring to my post, but I'm still not sure you realize it was for Lake Livingston and not RC. If you have fished Livingston for 30 years and don't know where Kickapoo Bridge is, I'll be happy to tell you where it is.

Dennis, I found your articles very interesting and I can't wait to try your technique. I had one question though. The picture of the lure on your signature and in the articles is a Mepps Trophy Spinner not a Mepps Aglia. I guess it wouldn't matter much but I thought I'd ask. (I already have a #2 plain Aglia in my tackle box. :-) )
Thanks, Thomas
PS After a few months of no mechanical engineering work I start on Monday with a new job!

Thomas, the body for Aglia number 4 and number 5 is different than a 2 and 3. Go to Mepps web site and look up Mepps Aglia. It will show a picture of several Mepps Aglias. One of them is a dressed #4 silver w/ red dots. Notice the body. I've never tried a Mepps Trophy but did buy some longcast recently and they don't do as well. I'll take a look at the Trophy and see how thet do.

Anyone have a picture of balled up bait and busted up bait from their fishfinder?
