 do i close it or open it???????

just made a batch of catfish chum. should i close or open the lid and its a milk jug with a screw on top. so what do i do keep it closed or keep it open???

I make mine in five gallon buckets and I put a lid on and leave it on till I use the chum, and then keep a lid on it till it's gone.
Snowflakes and entitled brats will be the doom of America!

you could make a big stink bomb if you keep it closed. You may close it up after it stops forming bubbles (gas). I leave the lid on loose until after it stops bubbling then close it up tight.

Never had a bomb. I would hope everyone has sense enough to take the gasket off the lid before putting it on.
