I have two red wires and two black wires going to the back with two batteries. Can someone send me a picture of how your 24 volt system is wired. I think I have mine wired all wrong.

Probably you can just wire the two reds together and the two blacks together and double them up.
Take the two black wires and hook them both to one...lets call this battery 1......of the negative posts of one of the two batteries you are going to use for a 24 volt system. (I hope you are using two batteries). Then take the two red wires and wire them both to the other battery positive post......battery 2....
You now have the reds wired to one battery and the blacks wired to the other battery. All you need to complete the wiring in the back is a jumper wire that will connect the two unused battery posts. Now you have 24 volts.
At the front, wire the red wires to the positive wire in the trolling motor and the black to the negative.
If nothing explodes, try this.

Be careful, you may have 24 volts going to your trolling motor and someone could have hooked up wires to one of the two batteries to get 12 volts for something else. Someone posted a good picture of the 24 volt hook up on your other post.
If you have anymore Q's just ask.

They had the two blacks going to one battery and the two reds were going to seperate batteries along with the jumper. No breaker. Could this cause the trolling motor to work in spurts?

Ok. not the batteries. It seems that it is the trolling motor. When I hit the button and it doesnt come on all I have to do is touch the prop and it comes on instantly. Guess there is something wrong in the head of the trolling motor.

I would not think so...the breaker (relay) protects the wire from being overloaded and burning if there is a short. It would be in your best intrest to have one in line....
