So where should I go to specifically target bowfin? Fork? Athens? Any suggestions welcome.. Also aren't there some in "The syndicate"? I think someone said that once.

Try hawkins, nice clear water and it has chain pickeral too, another scrappy fighter. If you are in a boat check the lakeside and bankside edges of vegitation, usually find them cruising or burried right inside.

Chain pickerel are pretty hard to catch this time of year right? Might be worth a trip to try anyway.

Did a bit of research on BAG and sure looks like fork is the spot. And to think I might land a massive bass while finnin'! Lookout Jason I'm heading your way real soon! Those lily pads near you are prime bowfin habitat!.

I would guess Athens, just think of how many baby bowfin we saw that kid catching! But Fork would be a good bet too.
