Again the intake is fishable water and you will not get a ticket for fishing it. Just FYI for everyone.

I wish this were correct, but the citation in my hand I received for fishing there two weeks ago at night says otherwise.

Funny thing was, the game warden who wrote me the ticket said there have been lots of problems with tournament anglers fishing around it and thats partly why they are cracking down. I don't fish these tourneys, guess I'm just lucky. Thanks. rolleyes

I'll send you a PM, but don't feel like it would be appropriate to post the name here.

Was he in a boat? I haven't seen a game warden in a boat out here in a long time. See a few county sheriffs but never any game wardens.

Again, the game warden I talked to said "I will tell you it is ok to fish the area, as long as you do not go inside the bouys if there are any, and as long as there are no signs up."

Was it a park officer or game warden that issued the citation?

Ive been checked by Cooke Co. Game Warden Jim Lundberg he is out there at times, Ive seen him a couple of times this year.

You can fish the intake, you just have to stay back 300ft like the sign has always said.

I talked to STORMY MCQUISTION and he said a tciket CANNOT be issued for fishing it because there are no buoys. Gene talked to another gamewarden and he said the same thing. I wish we could get a straight answer on this.

It's all I know at this point, so fish there at your own risk.

Were there any markers out or signs to let you know that the area was restricted. The citation says fishing a restricted area, looks like if the area was not properly marked you might have a shot at getting out of it. Otherwise..........

theres only one marker saying keep beack 300 ft. thats the only marker. I knew one of these days someone would get a ticket for fishing that, but honestly just to be safe i dont think anyone should fish just to save you the money and the drama on [censored] like this
