 Calaveras Lake, constant hang ups by the dam

So... it seems that the only place I can get a redfish hookup at calaveras lake this year is from the points on the dam side of the lake. So far this year ive had 3 redfish hookups and only able to land one of them, the other 2 got hung up on something out there in the water. Does anyone know what it it im hanging up on out there? don't know what it could be other the maybe just the rocks.My buddy and I have drifted the dam many times and I don't think I have ever gotten hung up.
