Thought it would be cool to start a thread of fishing spots in the Grand Prairie & Arlington Area.

Not a whole lot of them really. There is a park in Dalworthington Gardens and some new park in Gp. Oh and Randol Mill park if you like catfishing

Are you talking about Elkin's Lake? Been there once, didn't have any luck. This morning I went to Emerald Lake off of Mountain Creek PKWY caught a nice Bass of a Topwater Bait.

I used to fish papy elkins and had some success in the middle off of a jon boat. My buddy and i caught multiple bass over 4#s in the middle off of some structure. After 5-6 visits we were kicked off for using a trolling moter. It would be hard to fish without it.

I saw some folks fishing for cats at Mike Lewis Park on N. Carrier yesterday-one guy had a stringer full from what I could see.

Has anyone fished Mark Holtz lately (Across from the Ballpark)? Used to fish here when I was a kid. There were cats up to 10lbs in there, I used to fish the trinity beside it and throw the cats in the pond. A lot of smaller catfish in there from stocking.

According to the TP&W website, with the exception of winter trout none of the local pond have been stocked in Arlington since like aught three. The ones that were are Randoll Mill, Cravens, Red Cain, and Gateway. Gateway? I seriously doubt there is even a bluegill in Gateway!

i can attest to gateway. more than plenty of 2-4in. perch. people line up on the bank and fill up 5 gallon buckets with them. unfortunately they are just as satisfied with bucketing 6in. bass.
