 woke up at 5:30 this morning to get out and fish before the heat makes it impossible. Went to the pond down the street and casted my new rabbit strip spinster. I really couldn't see what the fly was doing in the water so I put the rod under my arm and stripped continuously to keep the spinner blade moving. I saw a big wake then water went everywhere! fly  fish

Nice. I was kicking dirt in West Texas this morning at 5:30, no fish 'round these parts....

Glad someone gets up that early!!! Certainly wasn't me. Guess I'll have to go over to the Colleyville Justice Center ponds and give them a try. Been skunked several times, but now have new 411 on what to throw there...we'll see...maybe tomorrow AM?
