If the Country Inn is still open in Somerville, they had great steaks and chicken fried steaks when I was living down there.

There is a BBQ joint outside Brenham on 105 headed toward Navasota about 5-10 down the road. I believe it's called Texas Best BBQ and is on the LEFT hand side of 105 going Northeast.

That joint has some mighty fine BBQ and is sit-down, but seating is limited.

Forgot about Tex's BBQ (979-836-5962) on 105. It is very good. I think they are only open fri, Sat and Sun. Snook has a couple of Steak Houses, Sodlaks on FM60 and Czek Tex downtown.
