Just wondering if anyone has fished this pond in haltom city right by the springlake apartments at 820 and denton hwy. I live down the street and see people fishing it everyday thinking of trying it out.

You were catching those yellow cats that are in there. I fish there pretty frequently. It has a little bit of everything from Cats, LM Bass, crappie, bluegill, and sunfish. Its a nice pond if theres not alot of people there. Note: Stay away from the south end!!!! SNAKES!!! Its a great place to take kids fishing. The area you were in by the Chamber of Commerce building is the best place for kids to catch small fish. Get a small hook, small bobber, and some lunch meat, hotdogs,or anything like that and put small peices on the hook. Cast 2-4 feet away from the wall......Catch fish ALL DAY...and sunburn lol. Good luck

Nice fish!
I keep thinking about going out there and trying that spot out for carp, just to see if there are any decent sized carp in there.

Nice fish! I think you should add this spot to the North Texas Bank Fishing Map and check out some of the other spots on that map.

Which side/where is the Chamber of Commerce building?
FWMark - Nice catch! What did ya use for bait over there?
RussP or anyone - What do you think about eating the fish out of there?
