Hey guys, I'm looking to take a couple buddies on an offshore trip but the weather isn't cooperating right now so I'm thinking of doing a striper trip. We're in San Angelo but will drive to anywhere within about a 4 hour range.

What lake would be the best lake in our range (pretty much all Central texas)?

Is the fall even a good time of year for them?

Do you have a guide recommendation for us?

Thanks in advance.

Cameron

Cam,
I would reccommend going to Texoma on the red river. I've heard nothing but good things about JD Lyle for stripers on Texoma. Yes, fall is a good time to catch stripers. Google texoma striper guides and you will find his website.

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach

Call Omar Kotter 817-937-8755, you can fish, Cedar Creek, Tawakoni, Bridgeport, Richland Chambers, Grapevine, and Texoma, and most definatley he will put you on all the fish you want. Check out his posts here on the forum goes by the leprechaun, Not to mention he's one heck of a nice guy.

cgstrange,

Give us a call if you're interested in some Hybrid Striper Fishing. Richland Chambers is about an hour and a half South of Dallas. Not sure how far that is from San Angelo, but we can fix you up with a "Package Deal" that includes the Fishing, a Cabin and Meals. Check it out on our site at www.gonefishin.biz

Good Luck!
