There is one thing for sure you can count on today.

Skiers, Jet Skiis, pleasure boats, wave runners, and maybe a few brave fishermen.

Not very easy for the casual hybrid and sandie hunter, although I did catch fish this morning.

Friday morning we found some birds. Started to catch fish and some guy comes in with his big motor. He then starts to fish and just leaves the motor in idle. Never bothered to turn it off. The fish didn't stay up long after that incident.

Today, we were on a school on hybrids and two jetskis came so close that I could have easily hit one of them with my slab. Somebody needs to teach people how to act on the water.

That's why I was not there today, have had enough bad experiences in the past on weekends like this to last a lifetime. juggle Decided to follow wife around Grapevine Mills and that was bad enough, but went to Bass Pro, boy those Hybrids in that tank are monsters. Wonder how big they are. I should have taken some slabs along and made a lob into that tank. laugh

Only Billy can go to Bass Pro and wish he'd brought lures with him!

Speaking of boats and fireworks on CC. Saturday night about 10:00, we were at our house in Harbor Point on CC when my wife started screaming from the living room for me to come in there. As I arrived, she pointed out to the lake. About 50 yards off of our dock was a pontoon boat fully engulfed stern to bow in 10 foot tall flames.

It seems that the people about 15 houses down decided that the nice flat open floor of the pontoon boat was a great area to set off fireworks from. That plan obviously didn't work out too well for them.

As the boat was floating by fireworks were still going off the whole time. We didn't know what to do or if everyone got off the boat ok. It was pretty scary. As it turns out everyone was ok. The boat burned the entire time as it as it floated all the way up towards Kings Creek.
