Changed my fishing tactics from low tide phases no matter the time o' day that it occurred to hitting the shorelines early targeting a mix of sand and shell. Strung 9 trout from the time I launched my first cast Sunday mornin' at ~ 6:15 or so until 7:30 am, finished the limit about 22 minutes or so after I checked my watch which made up a half a bucket o' trout.

Thnx guy's. Yeah - I was home and had the fish and me both cleaned by 9:30 am, it don't always work out that way ... but since we have had some record breaking heat indexes the last few days - the trout cooperating with an aggressive early morning bite was much appreciated by this ol' cowboy.
Didn't want to wake the wifey from her beauty sleep, so I hopped on the couch and went Buffalo hunting on Red Dead Redemption ! LOL!! And how come the game won't let John Marston go fishing

Thanks for the report, keep 'em coming. Live bait or plastics?

I fish mainly with dark plastics and a 1/8 or 1/16 oz. Chartreuse/RedEye Rockport Rattler jighead.
I use a Plum/Chart SW Bass Assassin if the trout are scarce or finicky. If the bite is on I'll use a more durable TTK in the same color. If the white shrimp are migrating or around the area i'm fishing - I'll use a Glow/Firetail. If brown shrimp are runnin' - I'll use a Pumpkinseed/Chart.
All in all though, it's Plum/Chart or dark like Morning Glory rat tail pastics ( I use Morning Glory w/ the Glow RR jighead ) about 90% of the time.
Here's a pic of a limit of trout by a guy using Rockport Rattler jigheads with a dark plastic paddle tail from the Glaveston - Houston area caught last Sunday same day as I caught mine.
