What has happed to you does not define who you are-
HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

if you are catching channel cat on hot dogs and/or lunch meat, you could more than likely double your pleasure with some good punch bait like mr. whiskers or big marvs!!!!

Yup ... but not just ANY luncheon meat ... see the start of this You Tube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEQePSAbs4UIts not just any luncheon meat (for me) ... I use Walmarts own brand called "Great Value Luncheon Meat". It is about $1.60 a tin. I'm sure there are folks who love eating this stuff but for me, I couldn't unless it were a dire emergency. As a catfish bait though, I find it hard to beat. It cubes nicely and stays on the hook great. When you "dip it" in the surface water, you will be astonished at the oils that come off it. I have tried other "grocery store" baits but none come close to the power of this one. I regularly use this on one pole and Secret 7 on the other and (again for me) find the bite to be about equal ... and because it isn't a dip bait, can stay in the water a long time. When you cut it into cubes, lay a wet towel over the can and the pieces. This keeps them moist and they don't dry up. There is also no odor nor any mess on your hands when you bait up. Even wives, girlfriends and kids have no issues putting it on the hook. I push a straight shank hook belly first through the middle of large cube (wider than the width of the hook). When it appears on the other side, I twist it 90o and pull it flush. Seconds to bait.
