This is my fist post on the forum, My wife and i were out at benbrook this morning down by the dam and the public boat ramp, i was wondering if anybody had some advice on catching hybrids from the bank at benbrook(no boat) and also where i can scoop up some shad for bait. Any info would be very appreciated thanks in advance.

If a marina is close by you usually can catch some shad under the lights as far fishing from the bank for Hybrids I do not know.

Go early, throw far, you will eventually catch one in front of the airfield in Holiday North. Shad or silversides may still be there early.

anybody have an idea where we can reach the bank area by the dam? I've heard from a friend there is a fee to be paid to enter the gate. Any truth to this?
