It's time for mine and dads yearly fishing expedition. Does anyone have any reports for these two? Crappie on Lake Moss right now is SLOW! Dad said he's only catching one or two every trip out. All we ever use are minnows, so if anyone can point us the right way we'd appreciate it!!

RR has been doing well lately. Don't know about DeVine. If you know GV then it may be worth it but if you don't know that lake it's very difficult to catch fish. Fish should be on brush, bridges and Timber on RR right now anywhere between 11 and 25 feet.

What are y'all using on Roberts? Jigs or minnows?

We kept one limit yesterday on Raybob, caught more that double that but I got plenty in the freezer. Mostly on minnows @17ft but on bps they wanted jigs. white/chart. Problem was this ole thang thought that jig was a piece of popcorn. 4#12oz but look how long that sucker was. I think it was a native black. Not a typical RayBob football.

Brought home one limit among three of us with about 15 dinks of throw backs. A third of them caught blk/chart thumpits and white grub with the tail pinched off.Caught the rest on minnows. The wife got generous and started tipping her minnows with her kelloggs corn pops and they aggressively hitting that verses just a minnow. She immpressed me with her creativity.

The crappie fishing is very good at RR. We have been catching some good numbers with some good size fish. You will catch lots of small ones too but it keeps the action going. Brush, timber and bridges are all producing fish. The fish are coming from 10 to 25 ft of water, white/char RockyTops & SlabmeSilly jigs are doing good but minnows seem to be the bait of choice for the crappie.

You can catch them pretty much all day. The big thing is finding the feeding fish. They are not feeding in long periods so it is hit and miss.
