It was great seeing new and old friends. We pretty much had the whole stretch of beach to ourselves. Lots of cold ones, plenty of food; fried catfish, hamburgers, hotdogs, bbq grilled chicken, filet mignons, ribeyes, and of course Billy's peach cobbler. Thanks PawPaw and KW for putting on a great fireworks show. Not a whole lot of fish caught but still had a great time. I blame it on the full harvest moon. I only decked 5 blacktips ranging from 44" to 66". Had a mean blacktip or nice bull that killed my jigmaster. PawPaw's son finally caught a decent bt out of the yak. I lost a couple nice ones due to being tail whipped. Oh well, life is such. Till the next outting.....btw, sorry for the water spots on some of the pics...

We usually have a group go everyweekend depending on wave height and weather. In the past there were big gatherings that supported some type of cause. i.e. TOBA (Texas Open Beach Advocates), Donations from a crawfishboil that went to American Cancer Society, Beach cleanups, and of course lots of kayak fishing. We usually post up trips on the BTB forum of TKF.

The shark in the yak pic was only a baby 4 footer. Anything bigger stays in the water.

All fish are released. I'm trying to find a safe way to tag our catches.

Gonna have to add this to my bucket list.
