I have posted most of these pics before, but for those of you that have not seen them because of my sarcastic thread tittles I am re posting them with a serious title.

My buddy caught this one on my rod, I was nice enough to let him take a run and this is what he got, 6'7" long and about 130#'s

I caught this one in the Sabine River near Longview last year, it was right at 6' and I guess around 95-100#'s.

I caught this one near carthage in the Sabine River last August, it was over 6' and I guess around 100-110#'s, I was taking a nap when this fish ran off with my bait, nearly kicked my rod out of the boat getting up. I was fishing alone so I had to land this critter alone. Fun stuff!

This is another fish I caught out of the Sabine last august near carthage, within 300 yards of the boat ramp. I caught it the same day as the one above, and this fish nearly beat me, but I finally got her landed. This one was also a little over 6', the rod in the picture is 6.5'. She had a girth of 32.5", and I estimate her at around 100#'s also. All of the fish pictured here were released to fight again.

I am usually off on Mondays every week, anyone interested in splitting expenses and taking a shot pm me, I get tired of fishing alone and not getting to be in the pics of my fish.

Wow! I would love to hook into one of those. I have caught a few on lake austin and they smell like a septic tank! I have always wondered - Do the big ones really smell bad too?

Great fish!!! Where do you normally put in and is the river still high enough to run a boat right now? We were trying to decide where to run lines this weekend.

I grew up in Carthage/Deadwood area...Sabine can be a great place to catch those monsters...Spent many a day on that river. Great place and great pics!!

"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Fishing rod in one hand - 10# LMB lipped in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride!"

No the river is not high enough to run full tilt unless your in a big hole and know it well. It is just about bottomed out.
