Finally fed up with Lake Ray Hubbard and would like to "complain" about lack of No Wake Zone signage. On the I-30 bridge, I constantly see ski boats and some pleasure boats completely disregard the no wake buoys on the water to the point it is getting dangerous at times. Some lakes I have been on have no wake zone signs on the bridges to warn boaters since I guess most pleasure boaters cannot read the no wake zone buoys or simply just don't care. Do I contact TPWD or City of Dallas and who would own putting these signs up?

there are no wake zone bouys on the bridges (except 66 bridge).

dallas pd enforces them, as does TPWD.

snakeyes called DallasPD one day on some stupid kids disregarding the no wake zones, and when they got there in thier boat they harassed him instead!!! game warden got there and took over and stopped that needless chit from the Dallas PD.... so beware before you call Dallas PD. they suck.

I thought the 66 bridge is the only bridge without the bouys..

If TPWD catch them, they will be given a ticket.

Jet fleas do not make wakes - LOL. I actually thought that there was a law against making a wake under a bridge whether there are bouys or signs or not. It would not matter if there was. The jet fleas are the worst. Last weekend a couple ran in and out of a No Wake cove on Texoma. I had one on Grapevine bounce my boat off the dock on the Dove road ramp. I yelled at the guy and called him over. He apologized and said he did not realize it was a No Wake area and what his wake was doing. If it had been a fixed dock my boat would have been on top of it.

I live in a No Wake Zone with houses lining it. I would say that probably 40% of all boaters disreguard it.

I am not sure who you would contact for the signs but I have been out there fishing for whitebass out from Basspro shop and observed the Game Wardens sitting on jet skis under the 30 bridge and going after the violaters, giving citations. It suprised me because I wasn't expecting them on a jet ski which I think most of the people violating the no wake zones were either. They are usually in their boat.

Good luck with trying to get more no wake signs in your local lake. Ive been trying to get no wake signs on Lake DUnlap for years at certain parts where you cant even see around a turn, Ive contacted TP&W and have gotten rejected many times. There are times when some idiots juyst need to be smart on the water, but that aint gonna happen from skiers.

Wowzers! That's the FIRST time I've been pleased to hear of a jet ski on, well, any lake.

I see kids blast thru the timber and under the RR bridge by Miller Rd. all the time. Insanity, especially considering how much open water is just a short distance away.

I can't believe, really, how few fatalities there are on TX lakes.

Is it legal for private dock owners to put no wake signs in public waters?

I was on Palestine a couple weekends ago and saw 2 Cherokee Sheriffs Dept. Jet Skis They were riding around the Highsaw/Ledbetter area and went under the bridge on the opposite end away from the Resort one was running wide open under the bridge with 3 boats fishing for crappie, myself in front of the bridge working the old bridge and 2 other boats on the other side of the bridge working the timber. The 2nd one slowed down and shook his head and then they left and loaded up real quick..
