I'll probobly head out there this afternoon, even though it's going to rain. I'd like to see the river after all this rain anyway.

fished pedernales sat. morning. Ended with 12 keepers to 15 inches. Moved towards bridge with nothing on the graph. All fish were caught near mona's.

KC is my next stop but the reason i am going their is to drop off my bow but i will look around and see if he has any goodies.
Sportsman's Warehouse is great. Very wide selection of equipment (low to high) and a better selection of lures (AND FLIES, FLY TYING EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES) than Academy and Wal-mart. The three times I've been there browsing I've been greeted and asked if I need any help ! Pricing is a little higher, but I'll still give them some of my business. Especially since it's not too out of the way for me.

Hey Andrew! I won't make plans to head your way till i see a bit better reports than those above.

Although, - - - - 15 inch whites gets my attention! We will just keep an eye on this thread and then make plans to ambush em on the Perdenales!

Cow Creek is about to crank up, white rock creek is about ready to roll, and the black bass at Bachman may be on the verge of going shallow up here!

Take care,
Rudy

Took a trip to sports mans warehouse today its really a great place. Bought some lure's that i needed. I like their clothing selection price was alittle high but they did have some interesting stuff.

When you guys fish the Perdanales, do ya'll fish from the bank or boat? I am planning a trip for next weekend, and I think we are going to launch by the 71 bridge. I have never fished the Perdanales before so it should be intersting.

How far up from the bridge is Reimer's? Are the whites running all the way down to the bridge or should I concentrate farther up river? I got the rigs and the techniques, just need help with locale. Any advice would be appreciated.

Neither.
I'm in the water when I fish it. To me, the chest waders, the ultra light with four pound test line, and swift current is what it's all about when the spawn is on.

If I were to fish from a boat, then I would start at the bridge and work my way up stream. The females should be past the bridge by now, and on theire way up stream to do theire thing.

The river is really high this year down there. I actually think fishing from my kayak will be my choice. I usually wade it, but there is too much water this year. Last I heard, still no females in the river. A few males starting to show. This year they aren't moving in as soon as normal for some reason.

The run is on at the San Gabriel, that's where I have been fishing. I need to get back out to Reimer's soon, I know it's going to start there in the next few days.

Hey guys, all the keepers i caught last saturday were females, and were all caught close to mouth. Caught a half dozen male's to about 10 inches near monas. I'd give it another week or two before heading to Reimer's... need a warm snap... then it will be on like donkey kong laugh

It has been many years since I have been to Reimer's place and I don't remeber much about it other than where it is located. My questions are how much does he charge, is there a easy place to launch a kayak and would you go upstream or downstream from the launch point for the best fishing and to get away from the crowds. By easy launch point what I am looking for is a place where I won't have to lug the boat for much more than a 100 yards before I can launch.

Steve M,

He charges $5 per person.

I launch my kayak there all the time, depending on where you park, it's not far at all to the water.

I just got back and nothing much. Caught 1 and it didn't seem like anyone else was doing much better.

Man I know there is fish in Reimers by now. There may not be to many females, but there should be a ton of males. You guys just haven't found the right hole to get em out of yet. I might make a trip to Reimers this week just to check things out myself.

My biggest problem is that I am trying to fish way to much, or should I say, way to many different places all at one time. Oh well, a person has to do what a person feels like they need to do right. That's why I fish every chance I get. heheee.
Keep those lines tight and lets get that big one this year.

I've heard that ifishlbj caught 8 keepers up from the bridge. We didn't go all the way to Reimer's.
