Welcome to TFF! If you mention whereabouts you're located, these good people are amazingly helpful!

I usually find it easiest to catch them in the mouth!

Other than that just about every lake in the area has a good population of Crappie. Just pick one.

Welcome + welcome Codylake. Lately I've been catching mine in the nick of time. juggle - Schedule is crazy, but all kiddin aside sometime I catch them in the lake sometimes in the creek or in the cove. This morning I caught them in the lake at about 14 feet deep in 20 feet deep. I Was fishing bridge columns and trees just off main channels. I did move around quite a bit but that is par for the crappie course. Hope that helped and let me know if I can help further. Welcome to the TFF again welcome

welcome to the "TFF Family of Anglers". We really are a friendly bunch, they are just teasing you. As previously posted, where are you located, which lake are you planning on fishing? If your lake has a bridge, then start there. Move around the columns, fish at different depths until you start catching. Jigging around standing timber is always a great place to find Crappie. Hiring a guide is the absolute best way to learn to find and catch Crappie. Good luck!

bridges at tawakoni have been giving up some crappie lately...

Hooking a fish is like playing string with a cat. The exact size, shape, color of string matters less than how you wiggle it- and little cats are easier to fool than big ones. John Gierach
