Rob Harty just sent me some photos of Texoma stripers to 19 pounds that he recently caught from the lake while throwing Sassy Shads. I have not yet fished with him (although we are planning to do so late this month with Black Salty live baits), so I can't offer firsthand experience. Judging from our phone conversations and correspondence, however, he is not only a capable and competent guide but also a really personable fellow. You can find more info at www.fishdfw.com. I know there are no doubt a whole lot of quality guides currently operating on Lake Texoma, and if I have my way, I hope to fish/shoot photos with as many as possible in the future. This whole striped bass scenario has really gotten me going, and it's been a long time since I caught one. So many fish, so little time ... Boz

JRO, talk to your guide beforehand. With many of the guides on Texoma you will likely be through for the day when your limit is caught. It doesn't really matter what the rate is if they plan to bring you back to the dock after an hour.
Both Jeff and Mark will give you your moneys worth. They are regular contributors to the forum and are 2 of the best on the lake.

I'd still stick with JD or Mark only because of personal experience with them. As someone mentioned, JD and Mark will continue to fish with you after you hopefully limit out on fish (you had better double-check with them though...I can't speak for them).
There are other great guides that you will have a great time with as well. As RMartin suggested, talk with the guide first.

Dan Barnett is a fine guide...JD Lyle has taught him everything he knows. Just kidding Dan. You won't go wrong with Dan. In all seriousness guys, JD and Mark are two of the finest guides on Texoma (if for no other reason, they are simply two of the nicest guys you will ever meet.)....And, they are two of the few who openly share Texoma's secrets with this forum. If you can book either....You won't go wrong.
