We need help! We have a 150 merc EFI and when we start it it kinda has a delay then it will fire up and kinda putt then you throtle down and it acts like the stater went out but we are getting full rmps, then it just takes off like it it wasnt sucking gas, but we have changed the fuel pump, primer bulb, and have checked all connections. We got new spark plugs last year, and still are haveing the same proplem. We fixed a gas leak and it ran fine for a week the it started acting up again. Do ya'll think it is the fuel filter of something else?

From what your saying it could be 20 different things. Take it to the shop!

It only does it 1 time out of a ten hour fishing day, and it seems to do it the most when is sits for a long time, but in the morning it stars right up. it does it toward mid to the end of the day. Other than that it runs good.

We can tell when it wont act up because the motor will start right up.

Anytime these motors are acting strange, first thing I do is clean all and open the male pins with a pick at the ECU harness connector.
