I have read about the T&T relays. Does a Mercury 135HP 1992 outboard have them if so where are they located? My T&T will go up and then stop you can lower it and hit the up switch and it will go a bit higher then stop all together. It may be the bruses going bad or motor. Going to check fluid but think it more than that any ideas would help.

I had a problem with one of my relays once. I tilted the motor all the way up, but it would respond when I tried to lower it. If I would have know then, I could have just switched the two and brought the motor down. I had to talk to a mechanic to find out though. If you think it's the relay, try switching them as the chances of them both being bad are slim. Mine were located on the front right of the motor towards the top. They looked like 1"x1" box fuses that just pull straight out.

May be a bad tilt switch on the engine. Try unplugging the remote tilt switch on the engine and operating the switch on the throttle. Does the tilt switch at the throttle cause you the same problems or does it function correctly? It is uncommon for both trim relays to fail simultaneously.

Sounds like the motor is going out.

Mime did that too. It was a bad front trim switch not the relay. But, I found that out after I bought a new relay!
