Saturday morning the weather was just terrible, cold and wind gust up to 35mph, got out on the lake around 1pm, caught limit in about 4hrs. Sunday was the complete opposite, sandies bit good all day. All fish were caught on hump out from Rabbit Cove, jigging Holiday Slabs.

Glad to here you did good. We got on the water around 12:00 yesterday. Caught lots of small hybrids/stripers and over 100 SB but only took home 25 hawgs and 5 catfish.

Always remember the on the water factor. If you are going fishing and the weatherman says wind at 5-15 mph, you must add these numbers together.
20 mph would be the answer. You said the weatherman said 15-25, that equals 40mph on tne water.LOL

GOD BLESS TEXAS

I was a witness to Gary's fishing. Big catfish and many whites. Most of the time I saw Gary and his wife with doubles...

I fished with Hell/pet spoons. Limit of whites from 15" to 16"...Also, caught two blue catfish on the same rig. One was 8lbs, the other was 3lbs...

Caught and released many small hybrids too...Saturday was too windy. Until late in the day, when we caught some whites. Sunday was a beautifull day! But had to leave to back to Austin.

All whites caught, near the hump off Arm Pit...near Rabbit Cove.

Thanks Gary for the tips!

I just couldn't make myself take clients out on Saturday and I just had to take my kids out on Sunday. Thank you all for your reports as well, They help make me a better guide.

I took my son and some friends sun evening. We didnt want to cast with 4 people in the boat so we trolled. Took awhile to find fish. We ended up cleaning and eating 30 nice sandies. Not bad for about an hour of cathching fish.

Omar,

2 times last week we went catfishing at the dam in the middle of the day. There was lots of people fishing the the rock for striper. I felt bad for them because their werent any up there at that time of day. If there was i would have been catfishing. I told a few of the to try deep water .

Mike,

The Stripers are moving super fast right now. You were right to tell them deeper water during the day.

You got that right!! Marked a school in 35ft. Stoped drop slabs pulled up 3 . Then they were gone. Zig zagged around look see where the went. They were gone. You got to stop and drop (FAST) in the nmiddle of the day.

Whatching so many boats working the dam was kind funny. They need to understand reports help but your graff will tell if there fish. There was no fish at the damm in the middle of the day.
