no,4 on the sides, common sense says a jack and maybe a 4x4,but my hillbilly ways have failed before.

Mine has 4 bolts on the sides and a big nut / rachet on a rod on top along with cables. The cables wind around the rod. It is real simple. I just loosen the 4 and then turn the big nut. Up is a little easier than down. I usually have to tap the top of the plate going down. Mine is called a Rapid Jack. It takes about 5 minutes to adjust. About twice a year I loosen the bolts and lubricate the threads. Even though they are SS I had a set freeze up on me. Back then I fished Texoma more often and I am sure it was that salty water. I had to repolish my prop on Monday after 2 days in that water.

on those you have to loosen them pretty loose and with the motor plumb and resting on a 2 by 4 use the tounge jack to raise and lower start at 3.5 below the pad
