spent the weekend at the coast with family. hangout at beach marker 200. we caught over 25 whiting we kept about 15 keepers.

i was using a spoon, my girlfriend son was using shrimp and my girlfriend was using fishbites. well fishbites out fished the shrimp n spoon. so we all used fishbites, the one that you have to cut your self. they worked great

I was catching the [censored] out of baby blacktips with cut bait...kinda scary when you are chest deep in the water and you feel something brush up against your legs

just dont let my girlfriend find out about the sharks. she wont get in. she keeps saying that something rubs her legs. i tell her its boubbles created by her feet when she is walking. shhh !

If you dont mind me asking what color/type fish bites were yall using, & were you just putting them on a hook with a surf weight? Thanks!

What are fish bites and where do you buy them? I will be fishing the Galveston surf for a week starting Monday and would like to try something different myself.

I have seen them several times in places like walmart and academy, but sometimes you have to wait till you get closer to the coast to find them. I looked yesterday in the waco academy and walmart and they didnt have them so i am going to try in find them when i head south. It will be a blue package.
