Where do I go??? Just moved to midlan and I know about the lake in Big Spring, Tx, which is about 50 miles, but 3 out of 10 pick-ups are pulling bass boats in this town. Are they all going to big spring or is there something invisible near me??
I'd love to even hear about a pond. I always love throwing topwaters this time of year. Always look forward to rayhubbard and tawakoni night cat fishing too in the summer. Am I SOL guys

Lake Ivie near Paint Rock is the hottest lake on the Planet.
San Angelo has two different style of fishing lakes.
Alan Henry near snyder has alot of spotted bass.
Google is your friend, you'll find fishing lakes, but you have to drive a little while to get to them.
There are a couple of clubs you could get into in that area, Permian bass club(has a website), and bassin bunch.

God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; courage to change the things I can; and wisdom to know when to go fishing.

Don't forget Lake Amistad. It is a 4 hr. drive but worth every minute.

I'd give you different answers depending on bank fishing, portable boat or big boat and what type of fish you want to target. But you'll have to drive for any of them.

Nothing here in Big Spring to put a boat in. We go to Champion, Alan Henry, Twin Buttes, Oak Creek, Ivie or Hubbard. Some of us go as far as Amistad which I'll be back on in 2 weeks. Oh, when Thomas has water it is pretty good.

Catch em, kiss em, let em go

Welcome to the middle of nowhere. You'll get to used to it after about 25 years or so.... If you find any lakes let me know. smile
