I stayed up till midnight to register and that didn't work. Got up at 4:30 to go fishing, and read where site will be up during business hours. It didn't say what business hours so I quit fishing at 7 and tried. Still not working, I tried at 8 and got to register. It showed "server error" so I tried again and got same message. My partner caught a bass, so I went back to fishing. I tried again about 10 and website said all reservations were full try next week. I got email for 2 reservations for Friday. I'll call them tomorrow and get it fixed so someone else can use it.

With age comes wisdom, live to fish another day. <'(((>{

Not a lot of grass in the lake, it's too hot I think. The fish are shallow and tight to the timber. Don't bother fishing water higher than 90-91 degrees. Also, if you are gonna fish deep, make sure you have a fizzing needle.

EDIT: There are some spots of cattails at certain areas. And one more thing, if you decide to run up the river, be careful!!

Some areas may look like open water but there are trees just under the surface all the way out in 35-40 ft that will do some damage. Take it slow as the boat lanes are not marked.

I fished there last Saturday. Bass were slow, Catfish were good. The lake is hot everywhere. 91 to 94 surface temp and getting hotter. I ran down to where makeup water gets pumped in from Lake Granbury the surface temp was 94. We ended up fishing in 30 feet of water near the north end on timber close to the old underwater house. We chummed out with a little soured maze and caught about 70 channel cats in about 3 hours. You can see the top of the old house, fish about 150 yards south of it. The cats ate everything, shrimp, beef liver, stink bait, etc... Caught several 10 pounders but most were about 14 inches. If you are going for bass the hit spinner baits in deep water around timber on the fall. Don't count on your live well to keep the fish alive. If you're going to keep them put them on ice. Good luck

Got my reservation around noon it came in an e-mail. Was registering at straight up 8am. Sat. going to be catfishing.
C-micheals will see you there you can't miss my little boat. Will probabaly be the only Aluminum V-Hull with the powerful 4.5hp. Evinrude made in 1957. I will be off and running like a heard of turttles lol. Will probabaly throw a couple lures but not to much. And when it gets real hot might even go to bank and find a shade tree to hide under. Good luck to all. Will be a nightmare putting in. If like before you have to walk a half mile from where you park to get in boat aftere launching.

The bass are deep but the cat fishing is good.

Last weekend water temp was 96 its hot!!!

The bass are slow but be prepared to fish deep structure!

One you build and fish with your own hand built custom rod you will fish with nothing else!
