ok guys this really ticked me off. I spent 11am-2pm on braunig kayaking different areas. Used a FF and caught nothing. Matter of fact, no bites whats so ever used crawfish, shrimp, and chicken liver. went back from 6-830pm. same result, saw 5 guys throwing a catnet down the dam wall to the kayak launch area. As they walked up, they had 2 stringers of catfish. had to be at least 20 of them. They had no fishing poles with them, only 2 big spanned castnets. Game warden was there, but didnt even come to question these guys. IM PO'D!!!!!

I lay 20-1 odds they weren't Americans and the game wardens don't both them because they know they won't pay the ticket..So they get free run of our waters. Maybe you guys will finally realize this state is turning into Mexas.

To be honest, they weren't Americans. Good call. Lol u already knew. But yes, for me to spend my time on the lake and only catching a sunburn really posses me off when I see people doing this.

Ya I know what you mean..I seen them killing the hybirds and sandbass in the creeks earlier this yr. They would leave with 5 gallon buckets full of fish(unsized didn't matter). Its nice when the rules don't apply to other people because they use the I no speakie dee english card and get away with it.

At Fayette they cast net the entire bank (they say they are catching talapia only). But seen them pull in a bass once. Not only is it going against the principle of cast netting (bait only) but tney are ruining the spawning areas for bass.

I fished Bruaning Sunday for the first time. We caught 9 reds and 3 hybrids. I saw a ton of people throwing cast nets. the guys I was fishing with said that the majority of bank fisherman keep anything and everything that they catch. regardless of size or limit.

That ticks me off. The GW should enforce the laws fairly and equally for all folks. GW could have confiscated the castnet instead of giving them a ticket, end of story.

tony, we were in a boat. we were trolling sassy shad in about 15-20ft of water. Any color seemed to work. We caught the majority of the fish on the ne side of the lake. We got into a huge school early and the boat show came in and busted them out. then it was pick on up here and there. Going to go back in a few weeks. Its only 100miles from and those reds make it worth the drive

Heck..I'm surprised they don't help them carry their catch back to there unregistered cars for them. But i had one busting my balls about my boat registation which is up to date and completely legal, but still felt the need to go over it for 20 mins. while 5 mexicans passed us in a 14 ft jon boat without life vest. never even stopped them..oh and they had no tags or #'s on the boat.

I will say that I saw some boats that I wouldn't trust in a bath tub much less on a lake. Funny but dangerous.

Ive seen all of the above happen myself, not much we can do about it IMO. I figure in the within the next 20 years they will be engineering our roads and bridges and take the rest of the jobs we have left too!

i dont think someones race has to do with it. Fish bite, fish dont bite thats all there is to it.i wonder what would be said if they werent mexicans?? what if they were white black chineese what does it matter what color they are.im not trying to be rude. im hispanic myself an i find it offensive. an im sure you wouldnt like if it were your race bein talked about. Also texas was once mexico an happens to be the majority race in texas.yall are right GWs though everyone should be treated equaly no matter the situation.
