Went out with JJRoberts, theCARPenter, and West0 today to the Sheldon Reservoir to carp (mainly) and continue on what I now fondly called "Buff Quest 2010" We caught a few blue gill, West0 caught a nice 2-3lb bass, and I caught this common, which we estimate in the high teens. This was my first common in like two months and felt pretty good. Had an absolute screaming run when it hit.  I had to leave before everyone was done fishing so no word yet on if anything else was caught, but the action wasn't exactly hot and heavy. On the plus side, we did improve our method mix in my opinion as well. On the negative, I forgot to get a picture with a hot girl!!!!! Here's a few more pics from the day:  Non-euro fishing:  It was a good day but it's getting HOT outside. 96 degrees when we left.

I also use the redneck rod pod system (rail or mother earth)! Looks like you had fun...

Very nice Nick... you schooled the rest of us. It was so slow and hot i thought i was delirious when you caught that bruiser. Great job getting the first Common from Sheldon what used to be an impossible lake is really turning around for us.

Thanks Justin. Haha yeah it is. Now we just need a buffalo there and we can hit the triple crown of carp! We know they're in there, just have to find them.
Lessons learned: Never underestimate 3 week old dried out maize.
