Driving to the lake today my console popped open and my ID card blew out... I've never actually been asked for it by a game warden when I've been checked. Is it something you're supposed to keep on board with you? I vaguely remember it saying on the card to keep it on the boat...

Yes, you are supposed to have it in the boat.
Coincidence is His way of remaining anonymous.

yes you need to have it in the boat, every game warden I have been checked by have asked for it and I know for a fact they will write you a ticket for it. It will be dismissed if you can get it but still its a pain. Check with the regional TPWD office and see if they can help you get another one.

Thanks guys, I'm going to run by the FW office and see if they can print me another one. No doubt a nice replacement fee
