Well, the trip started off kinda shaky with an old college buddy bailing at the last minute, but turned out great. We fished Friday morning through Monday morning chasing that big bite. No such luck! We caught a fair amount of fish in the 2-3lb range, Dad pulled a 4, and I landed one that went 6.5lb. The topwater bite was good for the most part, with most fish being pulled from the grass and on shallow water drop offs. We could't find them with the C-Rig (although I'll admit is the weakest part of my fishing), but were overall very pleased with the trip. I want to give a special thinks to Jerry at Elm Creek for hooking us up last minute with a place to camp and to my dad for tagging along! It was GREAT to beat up on the old man!! Yeah, we had a blast. I tell you what though, a shower never felt so good after 5 days without one! I would highly recommend making the trip if you haven't already, I will definitely be back, but it will be between Oct 1 and April 30!!

Good that you had a good time. Never been there myself but going in late July for a tourney. After all I've heard lately I'm looking forward to the trip.
