hey Odwraca the creek channels can be found the easiest by just going from one bank to another and look for them on your finder, I would suggest buying a good quality lake map and it will clearly display the channels. This time of the year the channel cats should be in full spawn... Thanks for the awesome reply!!! If there was a thanks button I would hit it for you! Did not think far enough ahead to sour any grain, I will come up something to chum them though. Probably catfish half the day and bass fish the rest. ~Od

JPW it was nice to meet you yesterday. We got into them as soon as y'all left. Gonna give it another go today. With another good day I will be frying some up Sunday.
Od you can use range cubes to bait to. Any feed store will have them.

When out early this morning with reddneck21_2000 & fishing 101. We caught 10 sand bass around the oasis docks/cement stairs around 6:45. After that they slowed down. Had 4 keepers. Might try it again in the morning. We'll see. Anyone go out there this evening?

I was out Friday around lunch for a couple of hours. Tried Firemans and the ridge with nothing. Then tried to catch a few bass on the south of the state park. Found out the hard way that the battery was shot. Started fine at the ramp and the 2-3 times I moved, but the lats time just would barely turn over. Luckily the trolling battery still had some juice left.
Yes I did admit defeat. Good job back to back champion

Was out saturday morning and got on the lake by 6:20am. I thought we were pretty early but as soon as we pulled out pass the no wake zone at the marina. Our first spot on the right hand side by the rocks had 5boats around the school of sandies. Looked like they were having a hard time catching them. As soon as we pulled up and threw our first cast BAM!!! Me and my buddy caught about 7-8 each. After they schooled for about 10mins they scattered. We couldn't find them after that. We went fishing around looking for sandies but caught 3-4 black bass each. Left the lake around 9:30am with 4keepers 11inches, threw back the ones that were barely over 10inches. Oh I was also surprise that the jet skiers woke up so early to go jet ski-ing. It was 8:30am and they were on the lake creating waves already.

Where is this firemans thing that everyone keeps referring to? Fishing buddy and I are going on Tuesday and baiting 3 hols for cats then rolling around to do some bass fishing while the chum settles. Hopefully everyone will be recovering Tuesday and there will not be very many ppl out.

I was on Hubbard creek this weekend to avoid the crazies. The full Moon definitely made the white bass fishing a bit tougher not to mention the lake is 7 feet low and the spots that I usually fish are no longer good spots.
I get a lot of calls are two memorial day requesting guided trips but I doubt like fishing on lake Joe pool on holiday weekends.
Woody, nice catch on the 15 incher.
Surge, I actually fished for largemouth this weekend, havent done that in a while. I fish with my uncle who is an accomplished largemouth fisherman, it was a good time.
