The next best thing is hearing a good story. Headed home on the big 155 bridge, I gazed to my left and saw 6-7 boats on a massive group of birds. Surely a TFF'er was there. Let's hear it.

Was that yesterday, the days all run together. Big motor still not working, so trolling I went. Morning had a dozen crappie at same place you saw me last. Afternoon was diiferent. Birds that I was workin, were not working sandies or brids. They were diving on those shad 6-10"s long. They were not behaving like birds working a school of sandies. I managed half dozen sand bass on the riprap as sun fell off earth. How did your dad do today?

c,they had a good day wed. but Thurs. was tough. Caught several small sandies with very few big ones mixed in. Only 4 hybrids. I see those terns do that every year, in the same area and there were several yesterday doing the same thing?? Flying low and every now and then dipping down, was marking zero fish around them. No clue what was up with that. I was guessing maybe some sandbass have expelled some eggs already and maybe they were dipping them up?????

I foul hooked a shad underneath those birds on Wed. It was 6 to 8 inches long. Do you think that is what their diving on? That was the only hit I got that evening. Though the sandies eggs are so mature some look like they're about to explode. Doot doot doot looking out my backdoor I see 2 boats a sittin under the bridge (out of the rain) catching my crappie. It's funny (or maybe Not), that if you catch a few fish from an area or specifc spot that you tend to get possessive of it. I need to work on that. I wonder How many they've caught this morning? Maybe this will be the day I take the in to the Doctor(probably not). I don't get to mess with the crappie when I bring em home> My mother in LAW( she is the LAW) takes possession and they dissappear. I'll have to meet you on the water and show how to wear your hat at the correct angle, how to hold your mouth right, and you can tell me more lore of the lake. We'll sit and catch some slabs.
