Took my 74 years young step dad out this morning...got on the water at 6:15 am...morning bite very good, fish schooling...also good on humps in 23 ft water...slabs, and I threw topwaters for a while, till I started catching smaller fish....Ended with 85, dropped him off and went to Rubens boat slip, he brought me a hamburger so I took him fishing I can say the mid day bite stinks....caught about 25, most small hybrids, it was fun though. Saw Gene Colly and his Brother Jesse out this morning, and saw Sharon Wilson and hubby Phil....Guys and lady, it was good seeing you....NO SEADOOS TODAY, maybe Sunday Fishing are schooling on the flats anyware on the lake in the morning.

Hey John,
My buddy and I were out there at about 9 on thurs. We had some luck on the hump for the first 30 min then after that nothin. Do u think we just caught the very end of the morning bite? We then checked all of the usual places..(I-30 by the rocks and a few others) and got nothin the rest of the day til we called it quits at 1. So i can agree with you about the mid-day bite.

Well the evening bite was pretty slow today at Hubbard. Went with my friend Bobby, and we managed about 14 fish before sunset. Had to work pretty hard for those fish... caught a few by the buoy off of Robertson park, a couple by the powerplant jetty, and a couple off the flats. Fish were pretty scattered. After sunset we entered "ROUND 2".... that was different... we caught about 30+ fish at a marina slip that had a bright spotlight... mostly yellow bass, but some nice sandies too.
John 5:24 Very truly I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life.
1Peter 3:18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit.

20lb, I would try first light, if it was overcast late then the fish will stay up longer.

Thanks Taxidermyman, I will miss being there. Hopfully we'll get to do some fishing sometime when the weather calms down, and the fish get a little more consistant. Sharon
