After my wife passed I started smoking again ( I know stupid but krap man gimme a break) Well I am on day 4 of non smoking again. And I will do it. For myself and my kid...I am all he has and I cant take that away from him too early. I also am going in for life insurance and want to cut my rate in HALF!!!

First of all, I want to say how sorry I am about your wife. I'm more of a "lurker" on here but when I saw what happened to your wife a few months back, I could only imagine what you went through. As far as the nicotine, if you've made it four days you can do it. Just continue to think about your son. I quit dipping after some 20 plus years, getting to where I was dipping 3 cans a day. When this forum got started, I decided to set the morning after my birthday as my quit date and I told my 8yr old son at the time I was going to quit. After telling him that, I had no choice but to do so. I've made it almost 9 months now and, yes, I think about it still, but if I mention the word Copenhagen around my son(now 9), I get an earful and am quickly reminded of why I quit. You can do this, and though we don't know each other, please feel free to PM me anytime and I will offer whatever I can. Good luck!

I was saddened to hear of the loss of your Wife although I don't know how it happened or any details. It's my understanding you have the Blessing of a young Son though.

Since you've chosen to be in this topic with a poll, I'll respectfully suggest that you may not be ready to Stop nicotine consumption. Also, I'll submit that it's disrespectful of you to submit a poll to folks who are truly making an honest attempt to Stop nicotine.
