There would probably less complaining and less "squaw creek" post clutter on here if they would have left it closed.

Open 7 a.m. to 4 p.m.? What the heck?
I can only imagine how long it is going to take to launch and load in December or January, when all 100 boats get there at exactly the same time...and get back to the ramp at the same time, too.
Apparently terrorists are only a threat after 4 p.m. and before 7 a.m. So Luminent Energy finally throws a bone to the fisherman wanting to get on Squaw Creek and within hours of the opening date being announced folks are already complaining.... AMAZING! damned if you do, damned if you don't... I for one am happy to fish the hours that they will let us

It will be good to have the lake open again, it means the terrorists didn't win.
I bet the $30 launch fee will keep more than a few away.

Apparently terrorists are only a threat after 4 p.m. and before 7 a.m. Its a 4 lane ramp and they are limiting it to 100 boats so really how inconvenienced will anyone be?

As noted above, the four lane ramp makes the line move very fast. We were towards the back of the line Sunday morning and were on the water around 7:30am.
The only complaint have (I know that may be a shocker) is that the darn fish don't seem to be as tolerant of the warm water as in some of the other hot water lakes this time of year. They were bunched into one tight little area and were surrounded by a flotilla of boats. Why the heck doesn't luminant turn down the heat so they'll spread out more?? [sarcasm]Geez some bone, now all we have is a 1/4 mile creek to fish from and catch 30-50 3-5lb bass and be home by 6pm. [\sarcasm]

Apparently terrorists are only a threat after 4 p.m. and before 7 a.m. Take it up with Homeland Security -- Not Squaw Creek Lake park. Those are the rules the park has to play by in order to open it back up to the public.
