Is there a peticular best practice for puttin your alarms on buzzbars? I can always get one on there nice and snug but the other one is always a little loose. Is this just the way it goes or am I doin something wrong?

If your alarm has the little brass thumbscrew under it you can use it to fine tune.

If not, the best bet is to get some of those quick release adapters. Either the Prologic ones or just the generic ones (they might be BFS, not sure, but they've worked fine for me).

EDIT: Yep, they're BFS.

Leather washers. It's the only thing that's worked for me.

I ordered them from the UK but because they weigh near nothing, shipping is reasonable.

You'll like em fine. They don't seem as nice as the ones Neil had (I think his were the Prologic) but they do the job.

Why spend 12 Cents on an O Ring when you can figure out your own less expensive alternative? lol

I do, however, like Scott's Leather Washer solution.

I've got some pro logic quick releases that I don't use any more. The problem is that sand will cause them to not work properly. You really need to keep those things clean for them to work.

Leather washers is what I finally setteled on and I just keep my alarms on the buzz bar in a buzz bar bag. I don't take them off.
