Wow!!! That's my friend looking forward to: lot of big cats. Nice catch! I will let him know, see if we can make next trip with u. Thanks for the infor. Not a problem my friend. The bite was much better than I expected. I will let you know, when I'm hitting them again, maybe we'll find something bigger.

Need some input guys. Ive always been a little hesitant to change things that have worked for me in the past. Im still using mono, but now Im considering trying braided line. I know a lot of you guys use it. What are the ups, and downs about braided line compared to mono?

That link that wilson posted is pretty spot on. I'm braid all the way. The only downside is that you have to use a mono or florocarbon leader. Just make sure you stay away from spiderwire and the old powerpro. Now that shimano has bought out power pro, maybe we'll see a few changes.

I thought there was going to be a huge discussion again about braid vs. Mono. I even go braid on my sandbass gear. Have you guys used mono lately? The hooksets on mono are weird, u have to set the hook super hard.
I don't really know what to type here.

I need a 9ft 2-4oz surf rocket for bucktails and poppers rated for 40# braid...lowriders..
Q can you make me? my buddy wants $350... let me look at that blank and give u a price on it. What is you guys' take on the lowriders? I'm looking for a professional opinion b/c I'm thinking about having an offshore casting rod built with fuji lowriders, but I just don't like how it looks. However, if there are significant benefits to having them, then I'll go for it. Any thoughts?? They look goofy as hell...but they make a big difference...limit friction on spinning tackle...I have used them a good amount and i think they make a big difference...pointless on a vertical jigging rod though. Q can you make me? my buddy wants $350... TRF just go to this website and get the your SURF rocket BLANK http://www.mudhole.com/It is alot cheaper. We are located one hour from the mud hole store so my buddy uses the blanks from there...but after he puts some ridiculous wrapping and artwork on it the price goes way up...

Lowriders don't prevent wind knots...
the olny thing that prevents wind knots is manually flipping your bail and pulling the line into the line roller with your hand after every cast...
I cant remember the last time i got a wind knot and all I use is braid on everything...

The way lowriders work is they tighten the size of the loop as it spins off the reel creating less drag and more distance...
