wonder which is better for cats (preferably blues) and which will stay on the hook better? never had much luck with chicken liver staying on.

you can take the chicken liver and lay it out in the sun, let it dry for a lil while and it will stay on the hook better. Fresh cut shad is better than any of those baits, they are not all that hard to catch.

I agree about the shad. Cut bait is by far the best bait for catfish.
