I am confused here. I've been fishing the vine for a few years now and thought I had them figured out. So I went out to the lake and could just not get them to bite. Tried slabs, rattletraps, jigs, shad and tried all the usual places. Picked up a single fish here and there but never could get into any real action. So where are all those sandies hiding or have I just lost my mojo?
I tried bubbles, island, murrel, meadowmere, dam, north shore. Only thing i didn't try is crusher since water was rough and that one is pretty tough in high winds.

I haven't fished the Vine for sandys yet this year but sounds like you hit the places I would be looking at. I was gonna give it a try today but the last two times I've been out I got run off by high winds and after seeing the forecast this A.M. I decided to stay home. Looks like Omar with Luck of the Irish has been tearing them up. You might be able to get some ideas from his posts or from him.

I've picked em up trolling then right around the magic hour they start boiling. I troll 2 rods with slabs or spoons and keep one with something to toss at em for when they wake up. Those spots you mentioned are all good. Looks like they are spawned out mostly so the topwater action should start up now.
