We got T-mobile and I dont get any signals around Cedar Creek/Gun Barrel City. Its pretty lame. What other providers have folks had luck with getting signals out there?

The fish did get recorded and I got a certificate:

May hit Hubbard tomorrow.

Yeah T-mobile sucks.....

I've got Cingular. No problem on Cedar Creek.

I noticed when I was down at Tradinghouse outside of Waco, if I was in the inlet arm I wasn't in "Extended Service". When I trolled over into the outlet arm of the lake, it went into "Extended Service".

Oh, well, guess you gotta draw the line somewhere... laugh

Full coverage with NO problems. That's strange! I live lake front on CC. I've had at least a dozen different phones (because each provider claimed I needed the top-of-the-line phone to correct the problem) and service provided by Metrocell, ATT, SWB (now Cingular) and Sprint at various times since 1988. None have consistently worked around the lake without dropping calls or no signal. No provider consistently works in my house or yard. Actually the old analog Metrocell and SWB systems worked better at the house. The analog coverage deteriorated with the advent of digital, although at the house we still receive on analog 80% of the time, instead of digital. Go figure! I currently have the wife's Sprint and my Cingular hoping one or the other will have reception at any given time. They do transmit/receive digital w/o problems out on the dock or almost everywhere else on the water with occasional problems around the dam and lower end. Guess the water acts as a ground plane for transmissions. My neighbors, as well as friends scattered around the lake, complain of the same thing. If all the part-timers have NO problems I guess the providers just sell inferior equipment to us country folk who live here. wink

I'm too tight to buy a cell phone so I carry a trac-fone for emergencies. I usually carry it while on the water. If I need to make a call with it, I can always count on it. It is one of those old analog types. laugh
