The guys I know and have spoke with all fished deep today. Most started up if not in the river and then moved out. Caught around 35-40 fish just could not find the big ones.

Just left, had a great time. Lots of 3 - 4's. Could not buy a deep bite & didn't catch any cats or drum. Headed to Fork for some big fish. Congrats to all that placed.

I am tickled pink....Now everyone can shut up about that lake..Same thing happens to stock tanks..Over population=no chance to grow alot of big fish..Hope everyone had fun though!

It was a lot tougher than we expected. Bite was slow early for us till about noon. We only had 2 small keepers by then. We worked a creek channel flipping to trees on both sides and weighed almost 16lbs when it was over. We ended catching 30 or so in the creek and lots of 3lb fish. Wind sucked and the lake fished small. Nothing like working over a small tree in a pocket without a boat in sight just to have someone idle right up to the tree and throw a big arse swim bait through after they saw us catch 2 fish out of it. Had to laugh to keep from getting pissed. other than that it was a good time and well worth the day since it was my first trip there.
We also noticed that it seems a lot of bass were kinda stunted looking. guys can rave about catching big sacks during the week but when we dropped that many boats on them they got real skittish in a hurry. When we left big bass was 7 1/2 I think.

glad you had fun.. That's BS that someone one did that. I guess, they felt they paid ther $400 dollars and made them king of the lake...

No big deal. I had just flipped back in when the guy launched his swimbait throught it. Chad was retying. He did ask how we were doing though so he was at least a cordial feller! he just had no use for the 1000 acres of water we weren't in apparently. rolfmao

we still had a good time. Best part was just hanging out and trash talking this morning with all the other teams. We had the Honey Hole camera on us for a bit while we were in line to launch but I'm sure it will be edited as the 6-8 of us standing there had some pretty colorful language going on. I'm not gonna out him here but someone was having some morning rumbles in the gut.... woot..of course as we are all giving him advice we realize we are being filmed. rolfmao
